Service Description

Saturday, June 25th 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Janet's Studio @ 775 Carter Rd Bring a lunch Each student is encouraged to bring their own reference material, and we'll simplifyy the design before transferring to a black gesso 8 x 8 wood panel. Next we'll create a mozaic of colour and finish with a protective isolation coat. I'll provide the fully prepped wood panels and final isolation coat. You bring your acrylic paints (student or artist grade), and some brushes. Tea, coffee and cookies will be available. Supply List: Acrylic Full Body paint. New to painting? Grab a beginner acrylic paint set and the brushes listed below from Opus. Colour suggestions for regular participants: Cadmium Red light, Cadmium Red medium, Camium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Orange, Quinacridone Red, Phalo Green (yellow shade), Phalo Blue (green shade), Dioxazine Purple, Titanium White My favourite brand: Golden Opus Essential colours are a great affordable choice. Ask staff for help. Brush suggestions: Opus bravura flat 1/2 inch, Opus bravura flat 1/4 inch, Opus bravura round #4 Other suggested supplies: Pallette or palette pad or plastic plate or aluminum foil for mixing Stay wet palette Water spray bottle Masking tape Table easel Paper towel Apron/Smock Note book and pencil I have water buckets, a few easels, and lots of backup supplies, including the water soluble crayons that we'll use for drawing.
